thanks, i tried that, but it didnt do any good, i instaled the signed driver and it said monitor not found please instal unsigned driver, so i did that and stil no good, it didnt seem to actually do anything, maybe i need to activate it or something but there were no real instructions. windows has monitor drivers for monitors very similar i tried by picking one out of the monitor0.inf thats in the wondows/inf directory, yet still the same, even though iot apears corectly in device manager.
click start > run type 'regedit' (without the quotes)
open the keys in the following manner:
KKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG > system > CurrentControlSet > Control > VIDEO
go through all the subkeys in that class and amend the references to X and Y resolution to your desired
settings, not that to do this you have to right click. select modify, then click the 'decimal' value bullet
before making the changes,
one you have changed all of the subkeys, reboot,
if it goes tits up, reboot into safe mode and merge your registry backup to restore the original settings.
it doesnt work if I have the TV out set to clone mode,
if i disable it it works fine,
but then I cant watch the videos on my pc on the comfy sofa in the other room
if I have it on extended mode then i risk losing something on my desktop and wont be able to see it unless i go into the other room lol.
but gues il use extended, unless theres a bettyer way ....
