Now the fun begins
I cannot stress just how important it is to research before embarking on creating an army - no matter what tribe you are in.

For Teuton Troop info go here -

and lastly but by no means least! Gauls -

Find the strengths within your troops and look for the weakness in your enemy.
Gauls are my worst enemy's for just one reason! Traps!!!!!!!!
Therefore all our Gaul members should build their Trapper to the highest level possible - you can have up to 200 traps in your village. With that amount you can keep raiders/attackers at bay (until all your traps are full!). For those of us attacking we have to guess at just how many traps have been set and ensure that we send enough troops to fill every trap laid with some spare troops to release all the traps. Never raid a Gaul, always ATTACK, that way if you get any trapped troops you can free them at the same time subject to sending more attacking troops than the defender has traps.
When starting out with your army send your troops off to another member of the alliance as reinforcements. This will mean that if you are attacked your few troops will not be killed. Remember though that it does cost wheat so remember to send resources to the person babysitting your troops for you. Spike has been doing this and now has a small army of approx 50 troops, still not enough to defend against the likes of some attackers but if he hadn't of done this he would not have any troops at all.
Look for a stronger member of the alliance and ask if he/she will be happy to receive your troops as reinforcements, send them one by one if you like, if it keeps each new troop alive then it wasn't a waste of your resources.
You can call your troops back anytime you like, even if it is just to do a few raids before sending them back off at bedtime! The idea is to have an army at the end of the day, your army is built one troop at a time so look after them.

Ok...where to begin. It`s basically a game of strategy and cat and mouse and some good planning involved. How do you build an army and defend at the same time and make raids etc?
On the planning front, one good thing I can recommend is to build a spreadsheet (excel) That’s if its possible. Otherwise good old pen and paper will have to do.
Dee is brill with these as she works with spreadsheets all day long and she did one for both of us. The beauty of this is you can keep a record of your attacks etc and see just how much or less you are getting, plus it enables you to keep a better track of other villages that are not playing very often. Hence more raids by you!
To give you an idea how well this works, you only have to look at the attacks that myself and dee have done and over the last Month we have collectively, raided over 600,000 resources (300,000 each I might add. We`re going head to head right now lol).
UPDATE: Dee has now raided over 500,000 resources since 05.03.07
One way of helping each other if your constantly being attacked and find it difficult to build more troops without them being destroyed each time, is to send them off to another member as you build them. Myself and Dee are doing this for Fokker right now as he was constantly losing his as he was always getting attacked and what small number of troops he did manage to produce between attacks were always being killed.
Once he has amassed enough to defend with we will send them back. Of course this will take some crop to feed them with, but you can come to some arrangement over that.
In the meantime, anyone attacking you wont be killing your troops and because you have got plenty of crannies, they wont be getting any recourses either. Then once you have enough defenders, recall them and the next person to attack will have a nasty surprise lol.
I have recently conquered an oasis. That’s another safe place to send some troops. Plus they act as defenders for the oasis should it get attacked. Again you can ask for wheat from the other member to feed them so your not losing out. One word of caution if you intend to conquer an oasis,,,,,make sure you have plenty of troops..it took me 3 attacks at a cost of 60 troops to finally conquer it lol
So as for strategy, work out how long it will take to send troops to another member and if it takes say 8 hours to get them there and your going to be out all day for the same amount of hours, then you know they will be safe, because you will be back home just in time to recall them lol. Them send them off again before you go to bed….keeps them fit eh? Lol
Hope this is of some help
