Old version vs New version

Simple poll so I can gage the general feeling here.

I have available to me an alpha test version, actually Alpha release 4, of the new RPG feature.

I now find myself with 2 options:

1. Remove the old version and install the new version.
2. Wait till the new version is a stable release client.

There are 2 basic pro's and con's to both these options however...

1. No matter if I remove the old version now or when it's a release version, everyone will have to start from scratch with the new version, there is no way around that, the system is completely different and porting characters is basically impossible, but I did mention that months back, when I told people about the new version coming.

2. If I install the new version as an alpha test product, there is no guarantee that characters would not need wiping in a couple of weeks time, when testing is complete and the next phase version is offered. But at least it would give people the chance to see what they could expect from the new version and give a good chance for you to get used to it at the same time as me tweaking the settings and making it run smoothly.

Anyway, i'll let you decide...

Give the new version a bash now, or wait till a full stable version is released?

I would say, don't implement the new unstable version completely into TF and leave the other one that is present now there.

BUT I would suggest to run the new version parallel with the one we currently have. The ones that want to play the new alpha version can do so by using a link here, while others can still enjoy the other one.

On the other hand... i maybe put my vote too fast.
As if we look at the RPG version currently on TF, it got used rather a lot when it got released, but cause it wasn't that stable yet it had to be reset... and not a lot of persons joined it again.

Bringing it in will attract a lot of ppl to play it
Unless you put it in alpha first >.> The same thing will happen to it as the one we have at the mo - lots of interest, then a reset or two, then minimal/no interest >.<
I say hold out on the alpha and wait till it's stable.
On a similar note - could I get my Gil converted to Pu if it's no longer be in use? Or transfered to the new rpg? I have no problems with it being taxed or have an exchange rate on it (10Gil = 1Pu or something)?
Just to clarify - I'm currently the richest Inferno player atm
I'll prolly end up donating it all or something >.<
