How do you start an auction?

I currently have an upgraded weapon I would like to place in the auction. When I try to start a new auction I have to pick an upgrade for it, which is a little stupid, because the weap is already upgraded. (It says I have to remove the upgrade first...).

Am I missing something here?

Yup it is a little daft.

Basically you can not put an item into auction with an upgrade on it, yet at the same time you can not put an item into auction unless you choose an upgrade to it, so basically you lose out either way.

I'm gonna fix that in the near future.

In the mean time, i'd say basically keep hold of it or volunteer it as a guild donation or remove the upgrade and sell it to the shop.
