Status poison = no effect?

I'm in a battle with Rammstein at the moment. And for 3 rounds i am poisoned now.
And at this moment i only gained hp instead of losing some (cause i'm using my shield). From defending i gain 1 hp point each round, but i don't lose a thing from the poison.

Ok now i used my fists and damaged Rammstein and i lost some hp cause of the poison lol.

But still is it normal that you only lose hp when you attack?

Obviously the defence and added HP points of the shield move, counters the poison attack points.

Then i know how to stop getting killed from poison

(if the person doesn't hit me to death tho >.<)

If someone comes along with a higher level poison, a shield aint gonna be that good though...

although i thought that poison had the same amount of damage no matter what your lvl, as in the despiriction it said 1-3% of damage taken off each hit.

it was the poison status from elementals.
And i when I attacked I got a message that the poison hurted me.
But when i defended there wasn't a message of the poison hurting me... and since my shield only increases my hp with 1 hit point at the time

I don't think the hp increase is higher as the poison loss

I'll have to monitor it then, Obviously there are still area's of this RPG, looking at it, that need improvement. Which over time it will get.
