Referrals earn you money and its not meant to be a level up and do really well in a day thing I think, and spam will go up in the short term just like with the other addidtions but it will die down in the end and the mods will spot and deal with blatant spam.

Det can you edit control peoples pet bank accounts or even deny them access to pets for a set time or permenantly if they do spam or misbehave, resetting karma might not work or a temp ban but killing someones long term pet or fining them might

I think to prevent spam and for people to enjoy their pets they should get a few things with their pet at the start. In mir at least you get some clothes, a wooden stick , a candle and even a hp pot!

I believe you get cash for your pet for commenting on the products in the review section and uploading pictures in the gallery and possibly a bonus for adding several screenshots...

I will also spontaneously handing out the odd reward for excellent posting, perhaps as prizes for quizes, for helping other members on the forums, being a nice user and the likes.

lol, i've just changed the setting so it does.

Commenting on photo's doesn't increment the post count, but uploading a new photo does now, so hopefully that'll mean with the post count going up, so will cash for pets.

Commenting on a product in the review section also increments the post count.

You can post a lot by just being active on the forums, without spamming as such. Be more active, post a bit more, get more money. Just make sure your posts are slightly more useful to other users than a Hungarian manual for operating heavy machinery.

Its only a good thing if people post more, it just reminds me of that weird guy on official a cpl of years ago who replied to every single thread with "lolz" and got away with it forever.

Careful people dont upload too much crap on your bandwidth now though or people will spam picture comments like mad maybe

Make someone a special gallery mod as its sooo huge it must be hard to watch with the staff you have.

Can I ask if all users have an unlimited gallery upload space or is it post count or karma linked or ?

If people abuse the gallery and add crap I will simply remove their permissions, so they will lose their right to a bit of gallery psace full stop. We have complete control over what is submitted though, so it is normally nipped in the bud before it ever gets bad.

Everyone has unlimited space at the moment (I changed it hoping people would add loads of screenshots), but if it goes too crazy, I will start looking at ways to change the system, probably via some kind of promotion scheme.
