Ummm id like to know wats a royal flush ect.

I thought a "two pair" is 2 cards of the same value, ive held 2 fives b4r and got nothing?

I thought a straight was ex 8,9,10 of the same suit? Ive held these 3 cards all next to 1 another and got nothing?

1 pair = 2 of the same cards, ie. 2 x 5's or 2 x kings etc.

A Royal Flush = A, K, Q, J, 10 of hearts I believe.
A flush = any other suit of A, K, Q, J, 10
2 pairs = 2 sets of 2 of the same card number.
3 of a kind is any 3 of the same number
4 of a kind is 4 of the same number
5 of a kind is 4 of the same number and a joker (in this version).
A straight is 5 numbers following or five of the same suit.
etc, etc.

Me thinks it should be up to you to learn to play poker properly.

well just a minute ago, i had held 2 5's and dealt again and i got nothing shouldnt i have a pair?

I always thought...

1 pair = 2 cards of the same value.
2 pairs = 2 sets of 2 cards of the same value eg 4, 4 and 7,7.

full house = 1 pair and 3 of a kind eg 4, 4 and 7, 7, 7
straight = a sequence of 5 cards of any suit eg 4 spades, 5 hearts... 5 in a row.
flush = a sequence of 5 cards of the same suit eg 6 hearts, 7hearts, 8 hearts... in a row
royal straight? = 10, J, Q, K, Ace of any suit
royal flush = 10, J, Q, K, Ace

Theyre roughly in order of whats the best hand, if you have the same type of hand the highest value card in a set wins.

That's almost all right, except the flush. Flush is just any 5 of the same suit. ex: 5-hearts, 9-hearts, 3-hearts, J-hearts, A-hearts.
