snake is ****ing me off

Sometimes when i try to do 2 moves quick like down then left fast then the snake goes down but doesnt go left so i hear homer in the background :/
Its not my keyboard as it works ok in other games and i lose in snake everytime cuz to this. has anyone else have this problem?

when I need to go near my tail or the edges it sometimes bumps into it when I totally not expect things to go wrong.. it just isn't near it in my eyes.
