I'm glad you added this Det. I played ATITD religiously for a while and then when they released 2, i played it for a few days and then stopped. Im thinking about starting it up again its such a brilliant game purely for the fact its so unique and different.

It dosen't offer gory blood scenes, exciting pvp battles or even top graffics but it's so engenious the way it works it's one of the most addictive MMO's i've played, purely for the fact you get stuck into building a player city etc where each has his own trade. Decorator/murial painter, Fisherman etc and you can all contribute to making an Egyptian City. Also the reason i love ATITD is purely for the fact that nothings handed to you on a plate like many other MMORPG's you have to travel far and wide looking for materials. For instance a certain type of flower took me about 20minutes real time to get to as it grows high up in a mountain. |

Also, as from today Fileplanet are bringing you a 15 day free trial . This can be found Here.
Also the link to the main website where you can find more information on the game. When you download the beta as a fileplanet member (dosen't have to be a paid subscription) you get access to a new item and a whole new skill. These are listed below. FilePlanet Exclusive FilePlanet users get access to a special package of "stars" (fireworks components). The stars will be available at the School of Art and Music on Welcoming Island. These stars are unique in that by using a brand new skill, they can be assembled into "ground fireworks". In addition, the stars can be used as part of ATITD's pyrotechnics system - that is, assembled into complex fireworks. If anyone is interested in trying out out chuck a pm my way or post on this thread, maybe we can get a TF city going it takes time but it's a great game and worth the time. It's also a very small download. What the hell, give it a go its free.!!! |

hmmm this game looks and sounds very much like the java based game Another World. It takes the same mindset of having to create everything you want to do everything else.
Do you get a good tutorial with this game as that was something I found lacking in A.W. so i quickly lost interest when I couldn't even catch a fish after several hours as i didnt have enough skill to make any tools to make a fishing rod ![]() |

Yeah man, you get a good tutorial, landing next to all the basic training schools, like how to make saw blades etc to get you going, everything is done piece by piece in this game and u cant rush anything. Also it has one of the best support i've seen in any game. For instance when your stuck you send a message and within 5 minutes a GM teleports next to you and gives a one on one untill your fixed.
On the first one you have to start on a tutorial island and GM's walk around asking how everyone is and helping them untill you build a boat and sail off into egypt where the townsbuilding begins. |

You pick grass. then just wait while you dry it in the sun. Then you scoop up mud, and dry it in the sun.
At which point, I uninstalled the "game" from my pc. If I wanted to dry mud, or grass, id go out into my back garden and do it myself, because at least id get some fresh air. |

It sounds like the type of game i'd probably like though, as I much prefer to take it easy these days and enjoy things at my own pace rather than constantly being on edge and having to be seriously alert just to stay alive. I actually like the sound of picking grass and mud and letting it dry in the sun, nice and easy... ![]() |
