how often do u watch ur favourite team, and get really annoyed when the opposition gets an "unfair" penalty?
it seems nowadays that the more camp strikers actively solicit penalties for example, if van nistelrooy scored every penalty man u were awarded, he would be top scorer no competition my idea is to remove them from the game, and instead award a direct free kick from any position the team choose outside the box professional fouls where they clearly prevent a goalscoring opportunity already result in a straight red card, as should diving penalties are ruining the game, and if removed should help to remove the g4yest of all activities - diving |

No the system should be kept as it is there is nothing you can do to try and perfect the system.
Get a 4th camera man and stop everytime the referee thinks there maybe an invringement, what if there isnt? Then the complete run of the game is stopped for no reason. Diving is yes annoying but it is up to the referee to try and decide. |

its teh stinky forigners that brought it over here, now everyones doing it
![]() i reckon the game shhould continue as is. but at the end of each match the teams sit down and decide what incidents they would like the FA to look at. be it diving/poor decisions etc. the FA look and see that someones blatently dived then ban him for a game or 2. if they were to do things like this it would help stamp it out. |

Penalities work for and against though. There's been more than one occasion where ?I have been really relieved to see us win by a late penalty.
I think a lot of it is down th bad refereeing decisions though and that is the area which need attention. some refs play too much to the letter of the law, where as others use common sense. some do a great job, but others are crap. A fine example, still very fresh in my mind was Sunderland v Coventry yesterday... Gary MacCallister dived just outside the box no Sunderland player was even within 2ft of him, he then writhed about for a couple of seconds until he was just inside the penalty box, trying to get a penalty, the ref blatently didn't see it, but he still booked the Sunderland player and gave Coventry a free kick from it (when it was obvious he should have booked MacCallister for diving). 2 mins later a Sunderland player was wiped off the park and had to be substituted with a bad ankle injury, the ref didn't even book the offending player, but not only that, when he actually got around to stopping play, he gave a free kick to Coventry for an offside decision against Sunderland which happened some 2mins later. He made the Sunderland players leave the pitch when they went down, but the coventry medical team were allowed on the pitch every single time a Coventry player went down. The ref was crap, every decision he made was wrong both against Coventry and Sunderland, he basically ruined what could have otherwise been a really good game. I'm Srprised Mick Macarthy wasn't sent off from the touchline, he was going absolutely beserk at the ref. |

i'd go for the tv evidence on all red card and penalty decisions rather than scraping them
+ wtf's up with the retaking of penalties if the keeper leaves the line(such as the chelsea vs liverpool thing), its impossible to get any leaverage to save a pen if u dont put atleast one foot forward. Also the thing that annoyed me evan more was that the ref ordered a retake the first attempt when owen missed, but didnt the second time when he scored + carlo did the exact same thing |

just use the video evidence for the major decisions, is strange that it hasnt been implemented in football, yet it has in most other major sports.
and i'd sack most of our referees anyway, most are fat & old and shouldnt even be doing it, if u look at the spanish ones 90% of them are young and fit enough to keep up with todays players. english referees arent. |
