Car Thieves, A.k.a. Scum

For those who dont know, my partners car was stolen last night by some of the local scum

Would appear from all indications would have been around the time i was talking to a few of you on irc whilst debating wether to go and play on Morrowind for a bit.

God only knows why those ..... people.... stole it, as it was a pretty shabby L reg Metro Rio, and was parked next to an unlocked Ford Focus, but hey, im not a criminal......

After realising we've lost a pretty expensive baby seat, my girlfriends driving glasses and a few odds n ends, and about £20 worth of gas, we set about calling around the usual, police, insurance etc.

From the looks of it, my gf is going to loose 2 yrs off of her total no claims bonus, meaning we probably cant afford to have a new car for the time being. We're really stuck for shopping now as the nearest shop that actually sells anything is about 1hrs walk away...The police are going to charge US (as in not the theiving scum who made off with the car) £100 for the liberty of towing a car that some other .....person..... stole.

My only consolation is that around midnight last night, the theives were envolved in a car crash with another stolen vehicle, and whilst nothings been confirmed, it is hoped that they are either in a life threatening condition or preferably dead.

If that were the case, i will, and i give my word on this, fork out a couple of hundred quid, to mount a poster campaign in all the local schools etc with pictures of said reprobates, with the message.... Look at poor johnny, stole a car, now hes dead.

....such people are obviously more obsessed with having a few thrills thanm the hassle they cause. It will cost us a fsking fortune to get this all sorted, and will affect us both financially and socially (in that we cant get out to meet anyone) for quite some time.

So be warned. Steal cars and one day you may find me and my brother in law calling around a hospital ward near you to see if we can find you too......

P.s Im selling a Saab 900s metalic black 96 (P Reg) 45k on the clock 2.0litre petrol.... ALOT harder to nick... even has a gear locking mechanism on the ignition so if they get it started leave it in reverse and there ****ed 3grand ono

as for mettys being easy to nick... im a mechanic when u know how cars work its easy to figure out which 1ns are easy to steal and which ones arnt my step mums metro got nicked last year ( before i started my apprenticeship ) so i know how he feels... and the saab well thats my little bit on the side i buy and sell cars for extra cash tbh i feel good about it considering i wont be 17 untill the 10th and ive already driven a good ammount of decent cars and can afford my own

Sad to hear Del, hope you get everything sorted quickly. Oh, and £100 to tow a car!?! WTF?? I'd refuse to pay it, seriously.

tbh delusion , whats the excess on your policy compared to the value of the car ? , it could work out that its cheeper to not claim , keep the no-claims bonus and just buy another car to make do for now , would have to work it out
