i only really started following f1 properly last season due to lewis hamilton coming through, but im really looking forward to this years especially the valencia street race and the shanghai night race.
also with the loss of TC there will be more on the driver. if renault come with another good car and BMW doing well last year it should be a great year |

Nothing in the line up really stirs my groins, there's no real character in that lot apart from alonso, who is trying to carve a reputation.
It feels like there's something missing, there doesnt seem to be that pizzaz like when schumacher, irvine, raikkonen and all that, there was like a real competition between the personalities as well as the cars. I dunno, might be one of the best seasons yet where most of the teams are a bit more even. What changes to the rules this year? Cos i think sinc they did the rubbish with keeping fuel levels and not changing tyres and stuff, its taken the race out of it. |

It looks better than ever.
Ferrari have two amazing drivers and a new car. McLaren have two rookie drivers who both did amazingly well last year. Few others like Alonso who will always be interesting to watch even if hes driving a poo wagon. The Schumacher years were the most boring time in F1 ever, oh look hes won again. At least now its so tight you have seasons that could go any one of 3 ways. |

I'm looking forward to this season, primarily to see Hamilton go against Alonso in a proper competitive none team ordered fashion, but not just because of those two, this season promises to see some exciting races with the likes of Kubica, Kovalainen and Heidfeld hopefully going to make things a lot closer this time round.
My obvious initial view this year is that it will be between Hamilton, Alonso and Raikkonen to win the title, those 3 do seem to be the main contenders, if their cars are up to the job. Call me a purist with this, but I completely disagree with anyone who says the Schumacher years were boring though, to me it was and absolute pleasure and was like watching the master at work, with almost every single maneuvre he made being close to perfect and a joy to see, the same joy as Senna gave me before him and hopefully that Hamilton will in time replicate. Clearly though, there are those that disliked Schumacher as much as I liked him, so views are bound to differ on the subject. |

I'd agree with Det, as someone whos followed F1 for years, Shuey was a great driver, as senna was, i usel to love watching james hunt and nikki lauda. they just werent drivers they had big personalities as well. it just feels to ne that some of the spark ahs been lost somehow.
Maybe because so many races are now at 3am in some country we never heard of |
