The game is in Wembley! Chelsea is hosting the New York Giants!?!
Does anyone care? According to one source, the Miami Dolphins are quite popular in England. Too bad they suck this year. Hopefully you'll get an exciting game. But it's not on live TV in England? |

I dunno how popular this will be in Britain.
A lot of people applied for tickets, a million I think. It looks like a nice day out with all the cheerleaders and razmataz, but not many would want to watch it on tv because nobody really follows the league. It was popular in the early 90's when Joe Montana and Dan Marino were around, I think Marino is why the Dolphins are presumed popular over here. NBA was quite popular here at that time as well, Jordan, Magic Johnson, Bird, Sean Kemp etc but that has faded in the last 10 years too. It might have something to do with all the money pumped into football(soccer) over that period not to mention the english winning some daft cricket game once and people bandwagon jumping to rugby when Wilkinson kicked that egg thing quite well one time. American Football will never get insanely popular unless they play it in schools and they hardly ever do. All that equipment is expensive so would need to be used a lot to justify itself. That is probably the main barrier. |

American Football over here is the equivalent of Soccer over there though really, there's not really room for both of them to be massive. There are a few members of TF into American Football, whether they've been around recently or not though, I don't know. |

i follow the NFL although not as much recently as in past years. would have liked to go to this even though i dont support either team. i think it is a sell out and its a bit far for me to travel anyway
i heard something about a superbowl being played outside of the USA but dont think it will ever happen |

I always thought the Patriots were the popular one over Dolphins as the people I talk to always pick patriots.
Living in America, I find American football quite boring because it takes sooooo long to complete just one minute of the game so I find it quite tedious to watch. |

Never been a huge fan, but if its on and the Dallas Cowboys are playing I tend to choose them... Probably because theyre such a huge name in the sport so i've known about them more than other teams.
our university has an American Footballl team tho... The Hurricanes, haha. |
