You couldn't write a better script, I despise Arsenal almost as much as I hate Liverpool and they're both playing on Valentines Day night. Brilliant, they'll all want to watch the match considering it's a big game but their nagging g/fs / wives etc will be moaning like women generally do

Should be a good game ino, neatrul game for me as i really dont mind either teams.
Aston villa are starting to annoy me though, they never get relegated and they never do anything magical.... they just sit in the middle of the table allll the time! my prediction: 2-2 |

I suppose Liverpool are the lesser of two evils so 1-0 isn't a bad result, haha at Wenger saying "I think we are not in contention for automatic qualification for Champions league anymore"
yeah no kidding Wenger! |

Had a feeling Liverpool would win that one last night, it's about time Liverpool finally started looking like the team worthy of the history they have, again. Instead of them bottling it season after season and falling away towards the end and ending up just as "also rans".
I'm just curious what the heck is going on with Arsenal though, they are like a shadow of their former selves recently, a couple of seasons back they would have never lost games like that last night, it's like they've given up, or that Chelsea have got to them or something. Now all we need is for Chelsea to lose 4 on the trot to open the title race back up and give us neutrals something to enjoy. I'm more praying for Sunderland to pull off a major miracle against Blackburn tonight personally though, with Stead breaking his duck and getting a hat trick against his old club and Sunderland winning 4-1 and with that major kick start to the season, following it up with one of the most famous comebacks ever, winning 10 games of the final 13 we have left to play, finishing 17th on the final day of the season with a total of 40 points.... Well you know, it's nice to dream. Yeah I know, there's more chance of seeing Pink Elephants flying over Leeds. |

Bergkamp summed it up percectly, they've gone into a transistional phase when really there was no need to do so. Why did he sell Vieria, he's been moaning for ages that as soon as the stadium is finished they'll be one of the richest clubs in the world and be able to buy anyone. It was a daft move and for me anyway them qualifying for the Champs league is 50/50, Spurs have nothing but the league to compete with. |

I agree with that to an extent in this case though, I don't think it was just Viera, I think it was the combination of Henry and Viera together made Arsenal lethal. I don't think Henry is as good without his supply and I don't think Viera is as good himself now without the understanding of Henry. Just doesn't look right seeing Arsenal down in 6th place, even though at this point in time, about the only football issue on my mind is, can my team get past the 19 point mark. |
