Cant play on PS3??? surly the service would have way more customers if this was allowed.

Any way coolio for PSP, add more titles and it will easily have a DS beating games line up.

Indeed once the psp price drop alot i would consider it just to play some classics i didnt get first time round.

Too late to really save PSP i think, if sony set this up on PS2 or PC earlier to connect with PSP i think it would have done great.

I can't help feeling that Wedgy is right and that this is too late to make the PSP a DS-beating handheld.

However it's still fkin great. And having a big back catalogue of PS1 games makes it even more better than the DS for me. Only the most zealous Nintendo fanboys couldn't find 20 PS1 games they'd enjoy.

no need to save the PSP just because it isnt beating the DS doesnt mean its failing. The PSP has amazing versatility, and i have used it more and more this past 3 weeks, and im loving it even more than before! ^_^. The PSP has a huge Fanbase, and this can only set to increase it. It probably wont overtake the DS, but still stands a good contender.

Were does it say that the DS is beating the PSP? I'm only asking because were i live i see lots of people walking around with a PSP and not a DS. The only time i have seen someone with a DS is my brother and someone who had one before the PSP came out. Even at college i don't see anyone with a DS. I also asked some friends on Teamspeak and they both said that they see more PSP then DS.

At Uni I see an equal mix of PSP/DS.

On my course out of the people I know there are 2 DS' and 2 PSPs.

PSP got ripped wide open between xmas and new year, FW3.03 got cracked and all the ps1 games run on a new emu that works off FW1.5. Big up Booster and Dark Alex.

I love it how it is the most hacked console in history and you can get everything on it for free, but sometimes I worry that it will stem the flow of new stuff that would otherwise have come out for it.

PSP2 isn't going to stop it either, since it will be exactly the same but smaller and without the UMD drive.

I like Dark_Alex's new firmware, shame every PAL game I rip just goes black after PS logo, bt ftw though, can get most of the classics

I don't touch DAlex's firmware, it's like selling your soul to a hair-lipped spanish geek.
Best to just emulate through the DevHook, rather than flash your system.

Although I might pick up a 2nd hand psp and just keep that legit for all the ps3 compatibility when that comes out.... at a sane price.
