Kingdom hearts I & II

I have been looking at these games for a while but didn't buy them until last week as I was unsure whether I would like them or not. I'm not normally a big role playing fan apart from the Sims and Grandia, one not two.

Anyway I put it on today to see what it was like and I ended up playing it for nearly three hours straight. That probably doesn't seem that long to all you hard core gamers but usually I will play a game for about half an hour and then get bored of it, with the exception of Sims.

I'm not very far in the story so please no spoiler if you post but I was interested in other people's views of these games and also if you could recommend any others that are similar to them.

Cant think of anything similar of the top of my head! But i dout any other simiar games would really match that quality of KH and KH2.

As much as I enjoy RPG games, I hated Kingdom Hearts. Never enjoyed the game at all, it just irritated me and I dunno entirely why. The battle system was good, though...

Yeah i love the kingdom Heart series.

Only Disney product now that has that true magic you got with classic Disney movies and shows.
Its amazing how it takes a Japanese company to remind us how great that was while the real deal has done nothing this century but bring out a load of CG crap.

I would easily give up Metal Gear Solid 4 of Final Fantasy 13 to have Kingdom Hearts 3

Greal, I didn't mean like KH exactly just any other RPgs that actually have a bit of a storyline to them, apart from final fantasy, that doesn't interest me at all, don't know why, just don't like the look of it.

Twilight Princess on the Wii is brilliant, absolutely love it. And, connect your Wii to the net and go to the shop channel and you should be able to download and play all the old ones like Majora's Mask (sp?) and Ocarina of Time. ZELDAAAAAAAAAA! I think most of the Zelda games have a bit more of a puzzle element at places than FF.

On a slight side track, can you get Dreamcast games for the VC on Wii?

Thanks Seth, Lexxys has some Zelda games and they do look quite good. Don't know about the dreamcast games, sorry, only recently found out about the wii points and the old games.

Kingdom Hearts is a massive brand name now and is definately effective at attracting all round audiences through some classic Final Fantasy characters and effectively ressurecting Disney's glory years.
I personally thought that Kingdom Hearts' battle system was more challenging but the all round story of Kingdom Hearts 2 was far better and told in a much darker style. I loved both of the games. I say both but I also played Chain of Memories which was a vital part of the plot, but if you don't have a GBA then you can read the Chain of Memories manga if you're that interested. It shows what happened to a few other members of the Organisation.

They are currently working on two more Kingdom Hearts titles named Kingdom Hearts:358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, the former being for the Nintendo DS and the latter being for the Playstation Portable.
358/2 Days is a spinoff completely focused on Roxas' story whilst Birth by Sleep is a prequel (so I think anyway) that shows the events shown in the secret footage from KH2 and KH2 Final Mix+ which is viewed by completing Jiminy's journel.
