Washed Out Games Fixed

Title is misleading as it turns out nothing was broken.

The above video is a request for gametrailers.com to adjust their PS3 display settings. Assassin's Creed is used as the medium.

The general response about 360/PS3 comparisons is that the PS3 versions always seemed washed out. The video claims that setting the RGB settings to "Full" instead of "Limited" fixes this problem. Apparently Super-white setting should be set to "On" as well.

I would check this out now, but the only games I have on both PS3/360 are my review copies of Smackdown vs RAW 2008. Not to mention my television and 360 have been usurped by a certain room mate and Call of Duty 4.

If you have PS3 and an HDTV feel free to verify that this setting is a definite improvement.

I am stunned no one figured this out until now.
I understand Sony is not clever enough to point this fact out, but surly developer were wondering why people complained about this to them.
I mean they must have know about this setting and noticed the difference between the game they made and the game websites were showing.

Maybe they just didnt care or didnt realise just how much influence the comparisons held. You would think though that they would want theirs to look the best and looked into it sooner. Iv seen this game played on xbox 360 on a 50" screen in one of the big stores that sells tellys (I think it was currys) and it looks bluddy amazing!!

from what ive heard, the full rgb setting makes the game more richer in colour and such but crushes the blacks and shadows or something, so its a trade off apparently...anyone like to try? you gotta be using hdmi for it to work.
