i get a magazine called love it! every week and this weeks there is a story in their that disgusted me! know you can get a tablet from your GP called 'RU486' this tablet allowed you to have an abortion at home! if people are complaining about how stupid the UK's abortion rate is why bring this out! it makes me sick.
Theres this one girl in there who said she collapsed on the floor and he dead baby fell onto the carpet! why would people want to do that! was just wanting to know what other people thought about this 'DIY abortions' i can trype up the story if anyone is interested. |

Its the new way tho isn't it, pop a pill and end of the pregnancy.
years ago it was surgically removed and to a certain extent it still is depending on how far you have gone. I think the pop a pill method is good, saves you going into hospital and getting ill with MSRA. Being serious tho, it is a good thing but...... its made so easy now, people don't really bother with contraception now because they think hey thats ok i have take the morning after pill now. What they forget that every time you abort, there is a risk you may not be able to conceive and have children in the future. As for that girl saying her dead baby just fell out... ahem stretch the truth a little to make the story juicy. probably just a lil clot of blood that could of been the fetus if it was left to grow, she's making it sound like a full term baby. |

Quick reply but like Paps said, it was probably a blood clot, and tbh they have to embellish the story to get people to buy them hun. Those mags are ten-a-penny and the juiciest, most outrageous story wins.
The drug they are talking about RU-486 is only used on pregnancies at 5-7 weeks so it would have been nothing like a baby. I would never have it, I would advise my daughter never to have it. The safest way for a termination is surgically (even with mrsa risks >.<) in my opinion. |

I agree with Sash. Having a miscarriage is classed in medical terms as an abortion or they may say the baby is aborting. Some folk may go through this painlessly and with no bother but it is still advisable to be admitted to remove anything that did not come away. It can be horrendous even at 3mths which was one of the times I miscarried I was rushed into hospital and had 4 pints of blood put into me before being taken to surgery. Taking my situation into account I wouldn't advise anyone to even try this. I had medical help and survived the trauma, alone these people who take it and suffer bad side effects would just bleed to death

Agreed, my first Wife had a miscarriage at 8 weeks whilst at home I had help her clean up as she was so distressed , there is no way you can tell it was a baby. |

Tbh, as long as medical professionals remain involved in the process of terminating a pregnancy I don't really care how it ends up being done. Surgery might not be convenient for some people, if drugs can do the same job and there's the same medical support available for the patient then I'm all for it. We are a society that revolves around convenience after all.
