I'm sure you've all heard of this. John Kerry is giving a presentation at the University of Florida when some kid comes up after the Q&A session is over, then starts asking a pile of questions. His microphone is cut and he's escorted from the scene but resists arrest and gets tasered.
Was this police brutality and censorship or just a kid who wanted some attention getting what he deserved? Heres one of the many youtube links to the video: |

He resisted a bunch of police officers and got what he deserved.
You do what police tell you to do, end of story. He wouldn't be whining "police brutality" like some clichéd anti-everything student activist if the police were tasering a mugger, or rapist, or someone holding up a bank. Hopefully he will realise now you don't **** with the police, something everyone should know. As for censorship, I don't know, if the Q+A session was over, then no, if he was a legitimate speaker, then definitely. |

i support the police as its a tough job but they were in the wrong here, the Q and A wasnt over, they broke his right to free speech and arrested him without citing any reasons for it. the fact that most of those officers have been relieved of duty and are being investigated should tell you something they did was wrong. if you listen kerry was even beginning to answer his questions but by then they had moved in and were strong arming him, total over reaction.
america is getting quite dodgy lately with the patriot act and such, taking peoples rights away slowly etc... |

Hmm, well I suppose you should expect that sort of thing from the American fascist police. It's clearly outrageous, but like Mankind says you cannot F about with retarded morons who are armed otherwise you will end up like that dude. Kerry is a joke, how does a failed politician get an armed guard anyway? Bunch of madmen. I bet our equivalent walks the street alone and people just leave him be. Even if people are scared of Michael Howard.

He wasnt exactly saying anything to stop them was he? If YOU saw that sort of brutality happening in front of you wouldn't you do anything to stop it? Ok im not saying i would take on all them police, but im talking about from HIS position, he was on the mic, he could of said something to the police to stop it!

Eagh, I don't think the police served as they should have...however the guy is still a moron for pushing them. There's nothing to gain from fighting the police like that, even when they are in the wrong. And resisting arrest is just the worst thing anyone can do. If the arrest isnt legal, you make it legal by resisting it and he should have known better.
Still, americans being tasered makes good viewing. |
