New Battlestar Galactica Film

Battlestar Galactica: The Plan is a two-hour movie that takes a look back at the first season of the series, but from the perspective of the cylons. But this is not a typical clip show. The writers tried to answer all those questions we were left with as the series came to a close.

Olmos explained, "I sat down with Robert M. Young and Andy Seklir, the supervising editor, and we spent seven and a half months in a room pounding out a story. And this story is so profound it will drive you into saying, 'Holy mackerel, I want to watch the whole series again.'"

I was most excited to hear that there still may be a future for the series. "I don't think this is the final chapter of Battlestar," said Olmos. "I did at one point until I saw the finished product. Because I know the fanbase is going to explode when they see this film. If they want to see more, they will make more movies. It's really up to the fans."

Seriously, this is big big news, I so wasn't ready for the show to end, this is like watching a fantastic concert, then the band playing another 10 songs just as you thought they were calling it a night.... Really looking forward to it.

Any ideas on a kinda timescale for the release and whether it will be a cinema or straight to tv release?

I lost the plot after a while, I was really looking forward to it but it did not keep my intrested. This sounds good though as I have time to watch a film but seem to miss a lot of episodes when they are in seasons

really looking forward to this. loved the series, loved caprica and im sure this is just going to be another couple of hours of excellent entertainment.

fortunately the good lady has just pre ordered me the complete series on blu ray

guess what i'll be doing!
