Frogster today released a new cinematic trailer for its highly anticipated free-to-play MMORPG Runes of Magic. The spectacular cinematic trailer shows a group of Taborea adventurers challenging the Demon Lord, the powerful fiend of the first chapter ‘Rise of the Demon Lord’ which begins on the day of launch. The appearance of the Demon Lord in the trailer, demonstrates some of the powerful abilities which he will use against players who dare to enter his realm. For launch, there will be no shortage of adventurers in Taborea, as players continue to join the massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Since the launch of the open beta in December 2008, over half a million players have created 725,000 characters for the ultimate acid test. Valuable feedback on the game has led to visual redesigns and game feature modifications as the countdown to launch continues.
The open beta of Runes of Magic comes to an end on 18th March. Initially the website and forum will disappear and then the servers will disappear for final maintenance. Live operation will begin one day later.
