I get it every now and again (tho for me its normally just the forum button or the forum and arcade buttons that are 1 line lower down), i just assumed the page wasn't loading properly so i never mentioned it.
Whenever its happened i've just reloaded the page and that seemed to fix it.
Happens in firefox, not sure if its happened whenever i've looked at TF on IE.
Iv had a lot of problems with firefox lately, its loading anything really slow. I dont have that prob with the nav bar but I do have a prob with the egg thing. The little icons dont apear in the box they are below making it hard to use BUT that only applys to firefox.
So now when I have a prob with anything I go see if I have the same problem with internet explorer, and in most cases I dont!
Ok, i'll be biatching at the egg avatar dev to get that sorted.... Hopefully it will be fixed quickly.
May have to look at changing the navbar slightly as well though, any issues by anyone is an issue I don't want, cause if 1 person has it on here, other visitors must also suffer from it too.
As for speed, TF seems generally slow to me the past few days, takes several seconds to contact the server before it even starts to render the page and that too seems to happen in chunks, like im on a 56k modem Its not horrendous but reload time is probably ~15seconds right now.

Nothing at all has been changed that should make it take that long to load. It's not showing any difference in load times for me the last few days, serverload is smooth, adverts aren't playing up or anything like that.
Is this every page your having issues with or just certain things?
Are you perhaps downloading stuff, playing games or doing anything else that may effect load speeds? Is it just TF or is it happening on any other sites that your visiting?
Off topic but could it be the addons I have on firefox thats making is slow?

You can test it starting FF in safe mode, that disables all addons. IMO it's the 3.0.8 patch that had to be made in a hurry to fix a serious security hole.

I mean, please don't stop telling me if speeds slow down for you, there is stuff that can happen and can be TFs fault, it's been known, lol and I need to be told these things otherwise i'd often never get to find out about them. The server only reports to me server end stuff.
In the meantime, can someone having this weirdness with the egg avatar please check in their Firefox if it's looking any better for them please. It's not quite perfectly formated, it sticks out a bit, but it should be looking better now. (don't forget F5 before hand)
All the inner bits are in and not out like they were, so that's a big improvement, although, after i've just fixed it myself within a few minutes, it does tell me that it wasn't a TF issue in the first place, it was a lazy bloody developer issue. Yet when confronted, the fella that designed this particular little feature said he couldn't replicate the issue, which I know to be bollocks, as when I cracked open Firefox, I saw that particular issue instantly myself.
