The Quick Reply doesn't work for me, or works so differently that I don't know how to do it.
I wasn't able to post this as a reply to your original post in Announcements, due to permission, but that may be proper.
I'll keep poking around. Somehow I feel like I've posted more than is recorded, but maybe I'm counting the ones I wrote but decided they were too obnoxious to actually post.
The location bit looks messy and mixes in with the title, i figured it wasnt finished yet. Something like this would probably make it tidier..

Dont mean to be negative, but the previous cosmetic upgrade was nice and fast, this upgrade seems to have made TF go quite slow again. I guess thats the nature of more featured software upgrades.
The quick reply is back to the way it originally was. Eraserhead was the only person that made a fuss about it being changed, then went and got himself banned, having it the old way makes more sense, as it's more spider friendly, which essentially brings more visitors. In otherwords, it needs clicking again as was always a default feature. It's the REPLY POST button that activated the quick reply box. (the other reason it's gone back that way, is that it was a spam bot haven so i'm told by official vBulletin people)
Pura - It's not finished, there are still tweaks and bug fixes and the likes going on at the moment, but yes it is definately slower again and it's something i'm really annoyed at, because I can't figure out what has caused it. It's one particular script that's doing it and once I pin point which one, i'll have it sorted and get things moving quicker again. Point taken on the title, location bits, it could do with being a little tidier, infact i'll be going and doing that right away, so by the time you read this, it'll probably be done.

You now click reply on the post to bring up the quick reply box, or for a more advanced option you click the bottom reply topic. Post what you see, it may help Det out in a way you might not have thought of. Can't imagine you being obnoxious lol
It's still a work in progress and I'm amazed at how much Det does really in the time it's been down. It always takes a week or so to settle down and for Det to finish tweaking, but it's good that people are offering imput rather than just criticism
The button on the post inbetween the multiquote button and the report button, the one that says REPLY POST pressing that activates the quick reply box as you will see, when you click it, as the cursor will flash in that box.
You'll kick yourself once you get used to it. It actually makes it easier in a way, you can click that button from the top of a thread with 20 posts in it and be taken straight to the quick reply box, without the need to even scroll down. You can also choose to quote the originating post in the reply too, something I don't think you could before, or at least not properly.

Karma levels are fluid, they constantly change due to old inactive members being removed, banned members, posts count updates, etc, etc, etc. But almost guaranteed when a major update is performed.
You've not lost much karma this time though, what has happened is that I have reduced the multiplier slightly from the backend, for everyone, as the karma system can only handle so many numbers and so needs slight adjustment every now and then to make sure it doesn't run out of stars and stuff, son instead of getting a bronze star for x points, it now needs x+x points instead.
I'm working on speed and reliability of TF right now. There are a few little issues that need dealing with, some of the bits added are being removed again at the moment to help me find out what is causing the issues.
Yes, the bits on peoples avatars are the egg avatar little feature that's been added. Just a little bit of fun and a little way to spend some Pu.

I think i'll have to seriously update TFs FAQs, too many peoples not understanding stuff, means less happy peoples, me wants peoples to find things simples.

Hmm does the egg system seem to be messing up avatars? Meow's has gone a bit strange and Emma Roids' isn't animated anymore.
It has to transform the images from their original format into .png images to attach the egg or splat or whatever, so any animated images stop during the period of egging, but are returned once the egging fades (72 hours). They do make a bad mess of some avatars like meow's though and mine for that matter. I understand some little bits like that will be working better in the near future, it's all in the tweaking.
