I do see the point about news sometimes sparking off debates. Having said that I just had a look on the first page of each 6 news forums, 40 topics per page = 240 topics and 7 had more than 3 replies with most on 0. That's an awful lot of chaff. Personally I just wish there was a better way of getting the news in front of faces so people can start talking about it but without it clogging up discussions.
I first get to the forum via the news filtered link in my favourites, read the stuff I'm interested in and if I've still got time on my hands I will usually carry on browsing TF without any search filters and I get to see all the other stuff. |
