Talking smiley ads

Pleaaaase block them. It's even worse because the ads auto refresh. They annoy me enough but I'm also going to get things thrown at me by other people in the room if they continue.

They pay well, because they are attention grabbers. I'm not going to cut off one of my best sources of income, sorry. TF has no alternative source of income, I need every penny I get from advertisements like them.

On a sidenote though, i've nearly crapped myself more than once when i've been doing something else and suddenly the computer starts speaking to me. My answer, turn the volume down.

Do you get paid for just displaying the ad, or if someone clicks it and goes to the advertisers page?

Basic per impression for some, x amount minimum of impressions for others, leads on some, per sale on some, combinations of all on some, it's pretty damn complex the way all the adverts on TF work to be honest, especially when it runs across several networks.

yeh they scare me too

esspecially when its late at night but i have my speakers on loud and i accidently mouse-over one of those add... and it screams "Heeellooooooooo!"

i crap myself everytime!
