Anybody played this? It's fairly hyped up across the net and though it's pretty quick to play through, it's infact awesome.
It's based on the half-life 2 engine, it's a FPS but the only 'weapon' you have is a gun which allows you to create a portal between 2 points, you shoot portal A into wall x then shoot portal B into wall y and you walk through either portal and you'll come out at either y or x.
your essentially a lab-rat and have to overcome various obstacles using just this gun and objects which are essentially just weights to hold down various buttons etc. All the way through your spoken to by a invisible female electronic voice which has a very dry humour.
It was nice to play a game so 'off the beaten track'.
Still can't decide whether the game's length is an advantage or a disadvantage. I think I'm of the camp that the short duration made it that much sweeter.
I would of prefered it if it was a bit longer.
Is still a good game, and the challenges to complete levels using a limited number of portals or within a set time limit do give it some replayability...
It's fun trying to complete the whole thing as quickly as you possibly can, i managed it in about a hour , saw this you tube vid, somebody did it in like 16 minutes? lol. I don't think i could do that.
Thing is, it's not that replayable tbh. Looks like you can get hold of new maps for it though, so that'll be worthit.
"Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said "Goodbye" and you were like "No way!" And then I was all "We pretended we were going to murder you?" That was great."
