Far - Wii - Cry

A while ago Wedgy stated that playing Farcry on a Will made him cry... (i think)

So Wedgy (or anyone else) why was that mate? was it good or was it bad?
I am guessing that it was bad (gutted) but why?
Lets take it for grented that we all know the Wii specs on this one.

Is it just a stright port with little thought or optamising for the Wii?

The reason i ask is that i have £25.00 to spend on a Wii game tomorrow and Far Cry was in the second hand bin, so was Zelda but i have never really been much of a fan of that.

What will the killer Wii game be?

Its got to be Zelda doffo, no way that game can let you down

Far Cry Vengeance is probebly the worst game made for wii, its just rubbish, best left on the PC.

If you want some FPS fun on the wii call of duty 3 is fantastic and Red steel is not bad.

I will agree
The mini games were what i came for, however i will need something more substantional to keep me entertained.

Wow, i appreciate you admitting it. But yeah, the wii is selling well, but needs more substantial and innovative games if it's going to stand the test of time. PS3 has MGS4(boo hiss exclusive), 360 has a mountain of games already out and coming, but the wii only seems to have SSBB and zelda, as mario is a huge gaping fag, and his games blow

There are other games for the wii but lets be honest if you want to party and you don't have much gaming experience then a wii is just the ticket I can 't believe how many people i would never have considered even thinking about touching a games console love playing the Wii.

They will keep producing the mini games as they are selling like hot cakes to people that never bought video games before. It should not be too long before they start looking at Wii exclusives for the wiimote usage and that's when it will win the gaming community over. Until then Nintendo will be more than happy selling their console at a profit and holding back loads of content ( probably channels too ) for when the sales start to drop off and then "hey we haven't dropped the price but wii users now have this new feature to play with." will most likely appear.

Zelda is a good game Red Steel is ok too I like the look of the air combat one ( cant remember its name right off ) and I think there will be more to come. It never expected to be able to produce games with graphics and depth of the big consoles tho...

Nintendo are developing over 120 1st party games right now but 79 of them are for the Nintendo DS, I don't see what the problem with the Wii having games that are focused towards the single player being made/brought over frpm another console but Nintendo don't seem to be interested in this issue either.

DS > Wii anyways =P

There does seem to be a drought of actual original titles for the Wii, mostly 'mario this' and 'mario that'. Where's Lylat Wars 2?

The problem is, is that most developers thought that the Wii would be another Gamecube, so they didnt think it would sell that well. Then it goes and sells millions and millions and only Nintendo and others like Sega and Ubisoft really got a peice of the action.

Now these developer seeing what the have missed out are making games for it, problem is the good ones wont be finished till 08 so we left waiting for the big Nintendo titles to come out that we knew would be few and far between.

Until then we are left with money hungry publishers like EA and Activision pooing out crap unrefined ports like this to make some quick cash: http://gamenationbase.com/?p=177
