I love it so far. Mainly been playing wii sports. The tennis and bowling is great. I want to try boxing with my brother but I've been having trouble getting hold of a 2nd nun chuck.
My sister managed to destroy our light bulb though after I lobbed her in tennis. We decided not to put another light bulb in till after we finished the game ![]() |

am i the only one that is disappointed with the Wii then? sure it is good and the first time u turn the console on and you see the cursor moving as you move the remote is just ace, but after that it's all pretty much =/
i mean all of the online features havent even been finished yet, apart from being able to msg people via online. however the news and forecast arent available and you HAVE TO PAY to use the internet browser when it comes out in the future. the amount of retro games available for dl is just terrible, and there's only 1 N64 game available atm....Mario....no Zelda and for SOME selected retro games YOU HAVE to buy the classic controller....Wii sports, the bowling is probably the best and most accurate and it reconises exactly how u throw the ball i.e. spins etc however i found the boxing absolutely awful, very unresponsive. with it being better to just tilt the controllers to box instead of actually boxing. the tennis is ok, however it gets a lil annoying when your pulling back to swing and the Wii registers the pull back as your throw..... >.< plus how hard is it to do a smash hit? ![]() baseball is quite funny, although ive already pulled my arm out of it's socket from bowling lol. and then my mate managed to throw the ball faster just by moving the Wiimote about 10cms. which kinda takes away the fun of being able to mimic the movements on the screen when you can do much better if you just do lil tiny quick jutters. Zelda, well Zelda is Zelda, simply superb and although at first i found the Wiimote a lil annoying to use, after awhile you do get used to it and it is set to be the best Zelda game ever easily ![]() tbh i actually almost sold my Wii on eBay, however thought against the idea and removed it from auction. there are some good titles coming out for it, and nintendo do have EA under their belt to help the games area. just hope it all gets more exciting in spring when all the features are activated and the amount of retro games available to dl have increased. im probably just being too harsh on a console that is brand new and has only just stood up on it's own two feet. however i will now be buying myself a 360 straight after xmas, as the Wii at present just doesnt feel next gen to me, it's just like being in an arcade at home. hate to say it, but atm in the graphics VS gameplay war, im heading straight for graphics.... anyways, gonna go n get back to Zelda lol ![]() Last edited by Nemesis; 18-12-2006 at 00:20. |

Well, after FINALLY tracking down a component cable, I finally stuck Zelda on, I wasn't going to shame it with friggin' composite. The quick half hour I've played I love, still not sure on the character art style yet, but it's better than Wind Waker's.
Sports is a good laugh, overall it's a great console and idea, and I do think it's worth the cash, but right this moment, it's not quite the "Revolution" Nintendo have been promising. A few killer apps though, and Nintendo will have this generation in the bag! |

Me and Sac queued from 10pm untill 6am out side of a Toys "R" Us on friday night so we could get ours, worst part was my mam came down at 5:30 in the morning to see how big the queue was and was able to join the queue and get number 62/65..... so we ended up with 3 Wii's lol! Was a shock to know that TRU got 65 units though, everyone in the queue was expecting about 12 lol
Loving it so far though, cant get enough of the sports games /Ryu |
