Not joking. Internet and highstreet sold out and both are pre ordered to the eyeballs already.

If you have a Wii you want to get rid of, Ebay it in december, as long as u can get it to them by christmas obv. Alternativly, get your name down for free in a videogames store, or anywhere else for that matter, then buy one, sell on Ebay.

Second hand in december will go for about 300, new 350... just the box. I kid you not.

there was a news article about a month ago from some nintendo rep saying they wouldn't be able to stock the wii for xmas - that they would be sold out from all stores/shelves/etc >.>
I've already had this idea - buy now, then sell in xmas for a tidy profit

Our store hasnt had any Wiis in for weeks now. There are rumblings that Nintendo are creating a false demand for them. Ie kids going "I want a Wii" because they are hard to get hold of.

Why are they doing this and not outstripping demand? Because the Wii is gonna get absolutly shafted next year. It has barley a single mentionable game coming out and any hopes of a true online system promised by Reggie for Q1 2007 are pretty much dashed.

Thoughts? Credible rumblings?
