2 Many DJs , Starsailor, Green Velvet and The Dykeenies added to T in the Park
T in the Park’s Slam Tent is still staggering us with turntable treasures aplenty. Pioneers of the mash up movement 2 Many DJs join the line up on Saturday, last seen at Balado in 2006 they’ve been busy working with the likes of Daft Punk and Gorillaz, while house don Cajmere’s Green Velvet will bring techno funk twists to the tent on the same day, sure to shake things up for a fifth time having first played T in the Park way back in 1997. Rave royalty Tiga guarantees a storming set in the Slam Tent on Sunday showcasing some of his Soulwax produced sounds.
Starsailor, who kick off their sold out UK tour in Glasgow this week following the release of fourth album ‘All the Plans’, are looking forward to making a swift return to Scotland for a Radio 1/NME Stage set on the Saturday of this year’s T in the Park. Half-Scottish front man James Walsh is looking forward to the band’s appearance at the festival playing to their loyal Scottish fanbase and catching up with the family! Also hitting the Radio 1/NME Stage will be Cumbernauld boys The Dykeenies who play Radio 1/NME Stage on Sunday and are currently on tour across the UK.
BBC Sound of 2009 hot tip La Roux will go ‘In For The Kill’ on the Futures Stage on Sunday this year. Following their current support slot on Lily Allen’s UK tour and the forthcoming headline gig on NME’s 2009 Radar Tour, the annual new talent showcase will lead them nicely into their summer slot at T in the Park.
