Had a conversation last night in the chatroom about a keyboard i am looking at for Sash.
She is a grade 6 pianist without a piano Well suffise to say we cant afford to buy a new upright/grand piano not to mention we have no space to put one, so I wanted to buy a keyboard for her to tickle the ivories of at her leisure. I have looked at the Yamaha PSR-E303 as one to potentially buy but wondered if anyone had experiance of any better keyboards at around that sort of price and if they could recommend anything else ? The price i found for the Yamaha was £114 with power adapter. It has pressure sensitive keys so that the harder you hit/press the stronger the sound ( which is what sash needs if she hasnt got pedals ). Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. And a pre-thanks to Stelthio for his input in the chatroom |

I posted an article on buying a new keyboard
Yamaha deffinatly seems to have the right idea about keyboards and seem to be the popular choice. I found this one on sale http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/702211/ and this one has the touch responce http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/707428/ |

I'd suggest you take her to a local instrument store are have her try out keyboards and find one she likes then buy it from wherever you like.
Yamaha have always made good keyboards (I've always used them) and I definately think that keyboard you have your eye on is a good one. ![]() |
