Howdy, i bought an acoustic guitar today... and i'd like some advice on some simple songs i can get the tabs for to learn to play.

Anything anyone can suggest thats real easy.

The riff for "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple is pretty simple, and there's practically a law saying "Thou shalt learneth Smoke On The Water on guitar".

Other than that, get yourself a copy of the Power Tab Editor and go check out the Power Tab Archive. The tabs have both the tab and staff notation, and the PTE software will play the tab back to you so you know what it should sound like. (Lets you see how accurate the tab is too. )

As for recommended songs, I'd say anything from Green Day (it's all the same chords), Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit is easy, Spare Me The Details by The Offspring is simple too.

to remember is that the electric guitar sometimes throws in two
little fills, one on the E chord, and one on the D chord.

If Wonderwall is too hard Gazz, try something easier. Like I mentioned before, Green Day and a lot of Offspring songs are pretty simple. Sure, you'll be sick to death of powerchords by the end of it, but they're good intro songs.
