As some of you may have picked up, a few mates and me have a band called Bonustrakkkkk. Weve just finished putting together our first album "A Tribute To A Rockstar", after writing around 140 various tracks.
So we want to release the tunage on the net, but im wondering what people's music downloading habits are like. When you find an unsigned band, or get linked to one, do you just download a track or two, because you cba clicking on all the links for all the tracks? I know i do, then i only hear 2 random tracks and rarely will i get round to downloading the rest. Equally would you download a zip file with all 13 tracks on? Most likely about 40mb? This is the option im favouring, because it makes it more likely people will listen to the entire album and saves fiddling around downloading individual tracks. Would you bother downloading 40mb? My webspace is relatively fast, the most ive had out of it is 550kbytes/sec (1mb every 2 sec), so <2mins on a big line, 10mins on 500mbit adsl/cable, just over an hour on a 56k. Id really appreciate the feedback on which you would download, even if you wont bother with any of it ![]() Also, the only finished track ive got uploaded at the moment: Bonustrakkkkk - Pikey Holiday (It does have a little swearing if anyone cares )Thank yousss ![]() |

Well, Pikey Holiday rocks so I definately want to hear some more pura
![]() The zip file might be the best idea imho, but maybe put some reduced quality files up too so they can be streamed? [Edit] Daft question probably, but - who's the vocals? Last edited by Seth; 27-06-2005 at 22:11. |
