Where is the best place you've ever seen a gig? What made that event great or not so great. I've only been to MEN arena,Hallam arena and sheffield city hall and not really to a proper gig as such, but all where really great to go and watch, the atmosphere made it electric.
What where the acoustics like, the loo's and the food. Would you go back? or do you not care as long as the music is good. Your opinions please ![]() |

Camden Underworld was good... but thats probably because i saw an incredible band with quality live set, the acoustics were pretty good, food was non-existent but drinks were reasonably cheap.
only quibble would be the pillars in the middle haha, but just adds to the charm. THE LOCUST! |

been to Leeds Festival, MEN Arena, Manchester Apollo, Manchester Academys, Satans Hollow, Wembley Arena and various house parties to see live bands.
out of em all those i do always enjoy the Manchester Academys most, pretty small venue but because of it everyones near the band, standing up and giving it their all. it's always a fantastic atmosphere and a great night out ![]() |

I've been to a few venues, but nothing major. I think Nottingham's Ice Arena is the biggest I've been to - holds about 10,000 - to see Snoop Dogg. Venue wasn't the best, too big if anything.
Newcastle Academy and Manchester Apollo are two of my favourite venues. Newcastle probably edging Manchester because the bars aren't at the back of the room, they're at the side. Although Manchester gets acts a lot more to my liking. Fibbers in York is good when they get a decent act on, which isn't often. Very small club, tiny stage - but adds to the atmosphere. Will be going to Manchester MEN to see Jay-Z in September, and I'm going to some tiny club in Manchester to see Pharoahe Monch tomorrow... which should be great! |
