I have heard this one song and from this song I can tell he is obviously trying to put emotion into his singing. It is a good song but the way it is sung is bland. I like it and I dont think it is too morbid or depressing because of his voice but he is not unique, not IMO anyway.

I think ur wrong to judge him from just one song tbh & especially that one, the album has much more depth & imo he is very unique.
Beautiful isn't a bad song, he sings it okay but the premise of the song is a bit ****. Basicly he saw some bird he finds attractive in the street with another guy and finds her attractive. Right real original premise there doesn't happen about 9 MILLION times a day to everyguy.
And I don't see what makes his life that original or unique, so he went to ****ing kosovo so did loads of other soldier... O0 he guarded the queen on horseback DID HE **** the horse guards don't really guard the queen lol they just parada about as they are pretty boys for the tourists.
He may get better, he doesn't have a bad voice although matildax once agian you demonstrate your knowlege of stupidity. He does not have a strong voice, ****ing opera singers like pavorotti have a strong voice where they can fill an opera house without amplification etc, right he has a good voice but it's a more fragile/delicate one (thats had ****ing ****loads of post production to make it sound better and volume adjusted no doubt). Why must I listen to people constantly murder the most basic of english language with their ****ing ignorance of simple words and their meanings.
Of course like maroon 5 stupid little girls and ****ing lefto nthe shelf housewives etc will love it, it's just some pretty guy, with a sweet voice, with his top off singing "your beautiful" over and over. And in their petty self absorbed sad little lives they all dream of a person like that riding in on a ****ing white horse in shining armour to carry them out of their miserable and deervedly so lives to his castle where he works out as a rather dim but sweet mealticket and the lazy sow never has to work/think again and is a petulant but pretty bird in a guilded cage.
Face ****ing reality girls, in a heartbeat he'll nail any pretty 16 year old fan with blonde hair model looks ie not you... it's as bad as ****ing moronic guys who sa christiana aguilera or some **** like that is good just because they want a peice of that ass...
At least he's name makes for good rhyming slang, "the c**t".
It's not a bad song, but it's not world changing and I probably wont be listening to it or remember him really in 20 years time.
Oh and one thing memorable guitar riff in the song beautiful, mentioned on the review wtf I listen to it about 10 times a night in work (on repeat on that crazy streamed music **** thing) and all I can remember is his whiny voice going "beautiful beautiful" like he really really wants to be damien rice...who I do actually rate.
EDIT: Oh and Deathcab calling someone else narrow minded HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHHAHAH I'm sorry but thats the ****ing funniest thing I've heard since the richard whitely - europe's bit hit song joke.

Well maybe I am wrong to judge from one song but you get a fair analysis of how he sings from this song. If I hear more songs I will have a more fuller interpretation but as for now I am just going of the one song and it is not Unique and a bit bland but it is a decent song.

I disagree tbh, i recently bought an album by a band that will remain nameless on the premise of ONE song i thought was good & the albums total **** tbh.
I would say Youre Beautiful is not the best song on the album at all, there are others far better.....just my opinion tho.

U must be talking about me as i also like Maroon5 However, sorry to disappoint u ive never had a fantasy about James Blunt or Maroon5 I have plenty about u, but we'll save that 4 pms
Okies, I heard another of his songs this morning - "High" - and I stand by my opinion that the guy sucks. I don't rate his voice at all, it's terribly weak, and the song isn't overly exceptional either....
Not you per se (sp) but thats his demographic teenage girls and women who've been married for a few years who want a sexy guy to sing loving and sexy things to them.
