The trailer looks good, but you can't judge a film by its trailer. Is it any good? Anyone been to see it yet? Thinking about going this aft but wondered wether I should take my pillow

Watched this a few hours ago, its ok but not as good as the first two, still worth watching if you enjoyed the others.
They keep the series catchphrases whithout making them sound like they're injokes as they tried/seemed to do in T3, and it was good to see a few new units of Skynets army but the film could have done with a better ending.
I also didn't like the change from John being leader of the resistance to just being one of the highish members of it, it made the plot of the first 3 films seem kind of pointless (unless he goes on to become overall leader at a later date).
I don't like when they faff about with long established stories,
I can't help feeling that i'm going to be disappointed with this film,
as i'm guessing they've totally reworked the story to keep the franchise
alive for a few more movies, hope they haven't bricked it completely.
I went to see Terminator Salvation yesterday & really enjoyed it but...
How the heck did they film the helicopter crash near the beginning?
John Connor takes off, an explosion knocks him out of control and, as the helicopter is spiralling towards the ground the camera pans past him then goes out of the chopper and back in to look over his shoulder as it hits the ground.
Clever stuff.
Does anyone have an idea how you pull off a sequence like that?
Think it might have something to do with special effects audiothor!
I thought the film was bloody awful! The only good bits were some of the actions bits, other than that i thought christian bale was dull, the story was dull and forced, Arnolds return was just cringeworthy and the ending was just stupid too!
Apparently the movie originally ended with John Connor dying and becoming a terminator, but fans went nuts about that, so they changed the ending. So youre left with a fairly shakey movie that has no real ending or purpose, other than to introduce characters for a potential trilogy.
The graphics were cool, action is good, but thats pretty much all there is. They touch on the humanity concept like in T2, where Arnie became closer to human and almost like a father to John, but its really not thought provoking. Even as a fan of Bale, he does spend the whole movie just being shoutey Batman/angry Patrick Bateman.
Its watchable, enjoyable, but its definitely Hollywood aiming for box office revenues with minimal effort, not trying to make a good movie.
f00k it, i'll wait til it's on DVD then I think christian bale as connor was the wrong choice
really, and all the reviews make it sound like it's not special enough for me to want to go and see it at the flix.
