I dont want to give away anything regards the move, so i think a poll will help:

I thought it was ok, formulaic to the extreme but what else would you expect?
Dashing through underground temples as they collapse around them and fill up with water, jeep chases along jungle paths, that musical bit whenever Indy does something cool. One part I did like was the homage to the classic scene where two crazy swordsmen attacked Indy in umm.... one of the older ones and he pulled out a gun and shot them. This time it was in reverse when Shia LeBouffant pulls out his gay comb-knife thing and the KGB guys reveal guns. The whole aliens thing was lame but young lads will probably find it fun so I would say it nails it's demographic unless you are like us, wizened old farts who fondly remember the original 2 or even perhaps 3, who were so obviously going to be disappointed by whatever the new one turned out to be like. So I will vote for an apostrophe being added to were, making we're, and therefore option 3. |

I started watching it the other night. It annoyed me all the tongue in cheek backwards references to the previous films and self-depricating comments about the advanced age of Indy, also no Denholm Elliot. So I turned it off. I might watch it again though as I didn't really give it a chance.

Option 4 , wasn't too impressed, the magic just wasn't there, i got the sense that
the whole tempo of the film had been slowed right down to accommodate the ageing actors, there were a few funny bits, and it was good to see them again, I'm sure they did their best, mildly entertaining. |
