The title of the thread is a little misleading Jason, you mean not so much mainstream movies, little treasures that not many people have heard of, rather than no one else, cause, lets be honest, i've seen all the movies on this list so far before...
Anyway, one of my favourites is this:
Chinese Ghost Story, it's a fairly old movie now and most the actors in it have long since died of suspicious circumstances or suicide, which may or may not be coincidence, I've no idea, but I first watched this film about 25 years ago and have loved it ever since and while I know some Hong Kong movie lovers will know all about it, I'd say it's sadly still a fairly unknown piece of work over here. It is one of Jonathon Ross's all time favourite movies too.
