It looked like Britain, but seeing as I’ve lived in Blighty all my life, I didn’t recognise this strange, kooky world it all took place in.

Was it filmed in the strange semi-British fantasy land that Richard Curtis films all his “hilarious” comedies in?

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging is set in Eastbourne, a coastal town in England; it was filmed there and in Brighton, with interior work filmed at Ealing Studios, London.

Strange, I've been to Brighton. That whole film just confused me - for some reason I couldn't see it as English. Maybe I'll have to re-watch it.

Yeah, I found 101 Dalmations weird to watch. Too much fake snow and a skunk of all creatures supposedly trying to pass itself off as a 'woodland local'.
