We just went to see this movie - a truly madcap adventure. We were laughing a lot, even at inappropriate times. The wonderful actors had a lot of fun going over the top with their characters.
Right up until the Monty Python ending - oh, sorry, have to stop now. Arrggh.
Not yet but I'm really looking forward to it. I think it comes out here on the 17th.
I was hoping it would be shown at Raindance so I could get a DVD, but it isn't
I've been a bit slow with my movies of late, but watched this a couple of days ago and have to say, it's jumped straight into my top 10 of all time movies, which is unusual for this type of moive. I really wasn't expecting to enjoy it and for large portions of the moive, I hated it, but not for reason of bad movie making, just that it had me cringing, but in a fantastically acted way...
All I can say really, is that come the end of the film, I was sat there shaking my head, in complete dumfounded shock and contemplation. It just wasn't what i'd expected...
It really was about as surreal as a movie can be in places and the actors were all superb in their roles.
This movie gets absolute maximum recommendation from me...
If youve seen any of the other coen brothers films youll pretty much know what to expect, great story, characters, plot twists and suprises but if you havent then its deffo worth a viewing for some great performances by pretty much everyone with special mention to john malkovich, George clooney is quality as always and brad pitt hams it up to perfection without overdoing it. The plot basically is that a data disk containing the memoirs of a former CIA agent falls into the hands of a local idiot who first tries to blackmail the writer and then tries to sell it to the russians thinking its classified information oh and a womans quest to get a shed load of cosmetic surgery done
I've seen this, was pretty good and definitely worth renting.
Very funny in parts & good to see Brad Pitt take a silly role instead of the usual macho stereotype I see him portray.
