360 Selling Well In Japan Thanks To Blue Dragon

To celebrate the release of the game (and to sell a bucketload of consoles) Microsoft put together a new bundle for Japan, which predictably includes a core system, a Blue Dragon faceplate, five mini figurines, a calendar and a copy of the new Blue Dragon game.

Incredibly, if you lived in Japan you could get all of this for just 29,800 yen - approximately $259 in US dollars.

Considering how much the Japanese dislike the Xbox 360, it's not so surprising that Microsoft are being so incredibly aggresive with their pricing in the region.

For those that don't know, Blue Dragon fills up three DVD discs! A worldwide release date for Blue Dragon is still unknown, but Microsoft assures us it is coming!

it isnt selling "well" in japan, last months numbers were like 7,000 units sold, to put this into perspective the ps2 sold around 30k units.

so id say its selling better then the previous months but nothing amazing and this is even with such a low price point with a game bundled that the japanese should go crazy for, xbox has lost japan this gen and i see nothing but microsoft buying out square-enix and making all kingdom hearts and final fantasies console exclusive to the xbox could help the xbox this gen.

It only came out a couple of days ago, so i assume it has done one of those usual hundreds of consumers lineing up out side stores deal that we have come to expect from japan.
