After to converting Xbox360...Halo 3?

after reading my first xbox360 mag today, official one, thought it was a bit crap compared to the official PS2 one but hey! gotta get used to it, gonna take some time converting

But i read the halo3 preview, and yet im still don't see why people make a big fuss over it? after playing the previous two, which i thought were total and utter CRAP. I still don't understand why people like it so much? the game looks boring, dull and hardly anything original about them. Why of why do people like them so much? they so boring and unexciting to even look at let alone play!

Any other xbox360 fans don't like the halo games? cause im starting to feel like i really should like them if im gonna convert over to MS :S

i gained my love of halo from playing co-op campaign with friends and offline multiplayer with friends then i loved halo 2 online for a while until it was ruined by cheaters, basically they are alot of fun to play with friends but they do get overhyped quite alot, still if your gonna invest in a console dont just get it for one game.

When I first saw HALO it was before the XBOX was announced and they were previewing it on .tv for the PC and I thought it looked pretty cool.

Then they said a few weeks later that it was exclusive to Microsoft's recently announced XBOX yet I still wanted it.

When I first player it I didn't have time to take much in but I absolutley loved the story and gameplay for a console shooter this was a revolution...

It was smooth and original and although story plot devices are simple they are so very very effective and to be honest with you I preferred the story of HALO 2 even more as it took a path down a more sci-fi outlook than the original had set out to do.

This game is also one of the best games I have ever played multiplayer, 4 players was just something else and I loved every second of it.

I don't think its overhyped, I think its misjudged by alot of people because of its very basic names and plot devices.
For instance Master Chief is an extremely plain name but became so reverred by HALO fans after.

Its because its the first big online game for a console and it plays really well in multiplayer.

If it was a just single player game it would only be classed as good but nothing special.

well i know this is a bit off topic but the exact same question could be said about css. honestly that is the bigest piece of crap fps i have ever played, i dont get why its so popular. theres nothing to it, ur just throwin into a map and jsut kill ppl on the map. its not like a proper game at all. sorry i just needed to say it coz i hate css lol

i remember when halo came out, i used to go to the in laws and me and the father in law would play co-op all afternoon, and i tell thee it was superb mate.
