It's his pseudonym (sp) and the books he wrote under that pen were good too, Thinner, Running Man to name a couple. Absolutely loved his books when I was growing up, The Stand being a personal favourite.

The Stand was an awesome book , shame so many of the film adaptations have been a bit shoddy .

Yeah, love a good Stephen King book. Read a lot of them while I was at college, so makes me think of those days. I've heard the Dark Tower series was amazing. I don't think any of the film or TV series were that good, except Misery.

I have liked a lot of his stories that have been made into films. The first I ever watched was IT, bit disappointed because it missed out soooo many good bits in the film, but then, his books are so massively detailed you just couldn't fit it all into a film without it having sequels. The Stand was made into like a 4 part film which I really enjoyed, but I think originally the book was written in 2 parts. The Dark Tower series I didn't really get, but tbh I've never really sat and read them properly even though we have the whole series on our bookshelf. Harv has, and he loved them. There are lots of his films I remember but can never remember the names. The one with the lorries, can't remember what that was called.
The Shining terrified me when I saw that, I HATE clowns because of IT, Stand by Me, anyone remember that one? Silver Bullet, Misery, Pet cemetery, Salem's lot - god soooo many good ones.... funny I'm terrified of horror films now lol

i keep meaning to read the Dark Tower series , must be about the only books of Mr Kings i haven't read , anyone seen the Mist yet ? pretty good adaptation of one of his short stories
