I thought I would try this out and have played it for about a day.
It's free. Isometric view, 4 classes to begin with and about 32 classes at lvl umpty-squillion.
The best thing is that you can lvl up without paying attention really. You tell your man (or girl) where to hunt, when to pot and use spells etc and he just does it.
You need to butt in quite often to sell up or buy pots or explore new places. But you can actually leave it alone for quite a while sometimes.
I'm lvl 30, hopefully 32ish by tomorrow with a warrior on the first server, in Dynasty team. I'm getting to the point where it would be good to hunt in a pair or a group for some stuff, I hate trying to make new friends in games so I hope some of you lot play.
I'd even be willing to start a new character if someone else wanted to start out from new.
I am available to play most nights from about midnight to 4am, although playing every single night would be a bit much.
It seems like a MMORPG where you can have fun without spending millions of hours glued to it just to make a level.
Me Angelll and Meow were playing it a little while ago.
The similarities with mir are immense, not only the feel of the game, the levelling of skills and the 3 levels of each skill, skillbooks, even the classes, the dungeon areas with bosses etc.
The robot part of it does destroy it though, since you can set it to port to town, restock, run back to the levelling place and level some more for you. This wouldnt be so bad on a game with other features but on a primarily grinding game it seems silly. There is also the wars/sieges though that happen at weird times that i didnt try out, but the pvp is worse than mir, and if you kill someone "gently" you can just burn out their entire bagfull of pots before they die to be an asshole.
I had 4 clients open at once, warrior, summoner, summoner, mage. During double xp weekend i got them up to one of the highest level dungeons ingame hardly playing any attention. A lot of people were doing the same and youd see a party run past all with the same prefix (purawar, puramage, purasummoner etc)
Also, it sucks because theres noone to talk to when 95% of people are bots. Fun little game though, just a shame they took the bot feature so far as to remove pretty much the entire game.
yep i played it, was fun for a while, we all chose the same char thinking along the lines of tao wich was the best in mir3.
I liked the bot as it tiring doing the grind manually, but each level takes so much longer, it was starting to take several days to lvl up even with the bot on 24hrs, and then double exp ended, seemed a bit un rewarding after that, i did manage to make a meow army and get it into the royal dungeon.
I mostly have the chat box minimised, I can't understand what anyone's saying in it.
My character is called Mascherano, but I don't have all the books or clothes or sword I'm meant to have for my level so levelling up has suddenly become stupidly slow.
Also I can't manage the class transfer quest for lvl 30 even though I'm lvl 33. Dunno if I'm going to carry on playing really.
So kill me if you want
If youre a warrior and having trouble killing certain mobs, use the thrusting/lightning ranged type attacks. Run in and out waiting for your pot cooldown to come back up and your hp to return to full before you go anywhere near it. Other classes should just kite everything insanely.
Is the 30 class transfer the one in the grassy map with the goblin archer people, or the one with the rats in the temple type place?
Watch the trade chat, theres like 1 or 2 books that go for 300k, but the majority people will let you buy for 20-30k for a quick sale, or like 60k if you buy from the auction people near the teleporter in sky city.
now i have read this thread i have started playing
i am Empire on the auruor server or what ever its called
warrior lvl 16 Lagcat
only just managed to sort my 1st bot out so hopefully should gain some levels
i have just learn them professions like mining and lumbering or what ever it is?
any got some help on these? i brought the books and learnt them all...does this mean i need to carry a axe, mining axe and soemthing to gather herbs in all the time now or something?
i havent actaulyl tried it yet....to busy getting used to doing quests and taking on these elites without dieing
I'm not sure where the mines are on Empire but they should be in the first town area somewhere.
There are 3 types of mines, flowers, crystals and timber. Equip the relevant mining tool and click on a level 1 mine and your man will start extracting the stuff. Once you get, say a pile of flowers, you can go to the production person in the big city and turn them into pots. The more you mine and process, the more you level up and can therefore mine/make higher level shit (in this example bigger pots).
You can get higher durability mining tools in the big city that last 3 times as long as the ones you can buy in the newbie town.
Leathers drop from monsters you kill and you can make them into clothes (at the production NPC), higher lvl monsters drop better leathers which can be made into better clothes, if you have the skill level to use them.

Cheers
what about these mount eggs? how do you get one and are they just the same as say a mount on WoW to just ride......
i read the eggs take a while to hatch but no where says where you get them from? searched their forum and just got what they can turn into
The game has 2 money systems, the first is the usual ingame gold, the second is coins you buy with real money. I dont think you can trade this money but its very very cheap in the scheme of things, given the game has no subs.
I think a mount costs something like £1 and just allows you to travel around faster, a bit like horseys in mir, or mounts in wow.

theres 1 thing i am not doing and thats paying anything more then hours of gameplay for a mount....oh well
but so far i really like this game....except for following this bird things through holy oasis to this other place then the poxy thing just disappeared.....wasted a good 30mins of my time protecting it
Its by far the best free game ive played and im really suprised that some of the old mir community on TF havent got into it at least for a mess around.
That said, the bot thing completely destroys it, not only is it like legalised cheating but it means that the vast majority of people running around the game are just bots, so the community aspect is pretty dead.
