I don't see too much wrong with the current system, but I suppose it'll stop people shouting every 10 seconds. Guess it'll save me standing round like a loser as well.

ye if u think stops non stop shout spamm,age of bw stops u standing in bw sz adding to the spammage and also stops peple geting conned (hopefully) and it wil be a much easier think 2 just put an item up and let ppls bid for it

god yea, i hate standing in bw shouting for hours on end. Also u wudno longer have to w8 4 people to come online to make a trade, u ud just simpley giv it to the npc and wen the player cums online he/she can go visit the npc.

Since i read there would be around 50,000 players in a world set, i think it's quite a bad idea.... I think you would get atleast 1000 players putting something up for sale each day... and are you gonna scroll through all those items that are for sale? and look what the current bid is etc...?

I think i wouldn't even bother checking that npc. I would just look at the shouts in town, much easier and faster to gain something.

And getting conned? O.o I never had a problem with that in any game...

Auction systems are godly. SWG's more classic system works well (or so I've been told) and FFXI's more original system drives the economy of the game and keeps it stable (On the stable servers anyway). They can only add to the game and they really don't take anything away from those who don't like to use them. It's a win win situation in my mind.

oO I thought it was 20k? anyway, tbh it would be similiar to the marketplace forum. People would just go to browse through, or maybe you're looking for something in particular some sort of search could work well on it. Just because theres so much stuff goin up for sale doesn't mean you have to look through it all

Seems a good idea for me.
I could never be buggered to stay in town shouting what i was selling.
Always left after about 5 mins to go hunting or go somewhere quiet so i could chat without the spam.
