Empty Seats?

We just watched Man U destroy Wigan (ESPN - HiDef!), and I noticed that there were a lot of empty seats during the first half. What's up with that? I would think that Man U would draw even the most casual fan out to the stadium. Here in the US - the Yankees sell out in every stadium they visit. Love 'em or hate 'em, people go to see them.

credit crunch? People are seriously having to struggle to buy season tickets so perhaps they are just going to the big games?
