Microsoft Flight Simulator

Just wondering if anybody plays / has played this before and what their impression of it is? I've only played a couple of flying games to date but found them fun. And I like the sound of being able to fly around places I have walked through in real life.. then finding my mates house and crashing into it

Anywho, Is it worth the seemingly high price to buy it? A new version just came out at around £50 :|

i played it ages ago, boring flying around for hours though,
best fun i had was trying to land concorde on the nimitz aircraft carrier.
you had to stall it just at the end of the ship.

yeh i got flight simulator x a while ago, christmas time infact and its rly fun i think, i cant say i play it much anymore purely because i done practically all the missions, was fun doing the tasks and getting a medal or somethign at end

There was an old roumor that you could pass your basic flying certificate by clocking up hours in MS FS eons ago in America if you had a specific type of flight stick interface ( bit like a flight simulator system ) but think it was more rumour than fact
