Help with my HL2

I'll get straight to the point shall I,

I've recently been playing my Half-Life 2 which has had no problems until now,

3 days after completing Half-Life 2 I decided i'd start again and look for some extras and bugs but no such luck,

My PC crashed that very night and my Half-Life 2 hasn't worked since and everytime I load it up now it gets to the Valve screen and then as its loading the title screen my PC crashs and reboots and gives me an error report when it comes back to the desktop.

Couldn't find fack all on steam's support system or maybe I weren't looking hard enough, anyone else had this problem?

nope, i havent, best plan might be to re-install n try agen, if it persists, id e-mail valve customer support. its prolly one of ur game files damaged or something, if one bit of code screws up it can mess everything up, then agen, u might also wana scan for viruses, they can mess up a lotta stuff, so u never know.

scanned for viruses, have none.
re-installed the game and its the same

but i'm sure i've seen a fault like this before that other people have reported, I just wanna see if anyone else has had this.

No sorry, tbh re-install should of worked onless there is something corrupt in the registry which can screw up ur comp like restarts and such.

GL on finding a fix for it.

Kaz you legend, it was an error in my registry which i've rightly corrected and now my HL2 works
