I downloaded a review of the internet supposedly from PCGAMER, I havent seen the issue in the shops but it looks genuine. It gives HL2 96% and says its the best FPS ever. PCGAMER tends to give honest reviews and isn't as driven by advertising as alot of magazines. I can't wait for this game now!!!!
i have to dissagree with that, although GTA: SA will b more well know simply because of the fact scallies play gta aswell because most of it, althought well made, requires little thought, HL 2 will definately be the better made game. most realistic physics ever, doom3 + gfx, the amazing gmaeplay of the oringonal. GTA:SA will certanly b an amazing game, but HL will beat the stuffing out of it, well, in my opinion anyway, we will just have to w8 and see.
If you keep in mind that half-life 2 hasn't got a multiplayer option....
Which is almost a must for games nowadays, especially the half-life one when you know how much people still play counter-strike online....

no halflife itself doesnt have multiplayer. but it DOES have day of defeat: source and counter strke: source.
and im willing to be large amounts, that it wont be long after the release till someone brings out more mods for it for other multiplayer games.
i played a fked verson off HL2 from a site :magnify: amazing game, physics like you cant imagine. i only got 1 level before it kept crashing, but its phenominal.

That scares me the most
The best multiplayer experience i had were with the maps originally designed by valve. The mods etc were nice, but none of them could be compared with the ones valve created themselves. And i was looking forward to those kind of maps more

96% is the highest score PC Gamer have given so far, I think the first Half Life also got that score, i remember buying it after reading the review infact. They'll never give a game 100% because it would have to be perfect, and lets face it no game can be perfect, that would mean every single person on the planet would love to play it for ever and ever.
I'm gonna get the collectors edition for christmas day... gonna make it a very special day indeed ^_____^
odd...im not really that interested in either LOL. waiting for RCT3 tbh. all i wanted HL2 for was CS:source, and i get that free neway so im a happy bunny
HL2 gets 96% in PCGAMER!
but it'll be interesting to see what gamespot say. they seem to be most honest out of all the reviews i seen.
