Game:
This game is a great shipsim game as it has great graphics and controls , it is also very realistic because if you crash you can have damage done to your boat
You can buy the game online by the looks of it. Not sure it my thing though.

Ship Simulator 2008
Ship Simulator is a revolutionary simulation game that puts players at the helm of some of the most varied and detailed ships to be found at sea.
Players will need to perform a multitude of tasks, all set within a stunning 3D environment, taking control of a wide array of ship types - from massive cargo ships and ferries, to speedboats, yachts, water taxis and even the mighty Titanic.
The waters you sail are also as varied as the ships, with newly added harbours such as Southampton (including the Solent), Marseille and San Francisco. Ship Simulator 2008 will amaze you with its progress and will rock your simulated world.

shipwreck got his a few months back and is constantly on it, not sure if sailing a boat across the sea is my thing, there seems to be an element of 'trainspotting'
but there are loads of them doing it and he's got a forum for it too.
I think its one of those that grows on you I remember on the C64 getting a train game in which you had to drive a steam train from station to station following all the signals, speed limits and rules like blowing the whistle before going through a tunnel putting coal on the fire and keeping the steam at the right level - got to be really compelling as you had to try and get to the end station in the shortest possible time.
I guess this is something like that taken a stage further but along the same principals.
Talking about Titanic you can acterly sail it
Somewhere on the offical shipsim forum their is a custom map called "iceburg ahead" involving the titanic and having to sail it out of the way of the iceburg
But yeah their are about 10 multiplayer servers including:
Newyork
Newyork Atlantic
Hamburg
Solent
English Channel
Marsille ( i think i speeled correct , in south of france)
PhiPhi islands
(my boat is the one with no name the top)
(ok their are still bugs...)
(their she goes for the final time)
(nice morning Cruise)
(yes ok paint may have been used)
(nice redjet with the United Kingdom Flag in the water)
is that the one where you get hijacked and you have to rely on the ships chef to save everyone with some commonly used kitchen chemicals fashioned in a way to make almost thermonuclear grenades?
